I have been back at making lots of Homemade French Bread with Balsamic Vinaigrette during Thanksgiving week and people always asked for the recipe so here it is. We use this for Bruschetta or as salad dressing.
Spinach Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing:
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup of olive oil
The salad mix:
We use spinach, boiled eggs, fried bacon, stir fried mushroom but feel free to add/ omit anything such as raisin, cherry tomatoes, chopped carrots, sliced red onion, walnuts, etc
Directions:
Mix all the dressing ingredients in a screw-top jar (I put mine in a mason jar) and shake to combine.
Toss a few tablespoons of the dressing on the top of salad ingredients
If not using dressing right away, cover and refrigerate, whisking or shaking again before use.
