We love getting this dish from our favorite Korean restaurant. I tried to make it many times but couldn't nail the texture until my Korean friend told me the secret: make sure the noodles were made in Korea and cook each meat and veggies separately.
First thing first: boil the noodle about 6-8 minutes
Prep time: 15 MinTotal time: 35 minutes
1/2 package or 7 oz. of Korean potato starch noodles (choose the made in Korea one)
2 carrots, cut into matchsticks
1/2 medium size onion or 2 shallots, sliced
1/2 pound thinly sliced beef, marinated with galbi marinade
5 fresh Shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1 package of spinach
oil/ butter for stir frying
2-3 scallions or green onion, sliced
Salt and black pepper as prefer
Sauce ingredients:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 garlic, minced
1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Boil water in a pot once it is boiling add the noodles, cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until the noodle is soft. Strain then rinse with cold water.
Use scissor to cut up the noodle into shorter length
Heat a frying pan, add the oil/ butter, then cook the meat and eat veggies (except the green onions) separately. Place then into a large container.
Make the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Add the noodle, the sauce, and the green onion to the large container then mix them all up with clean hand or tongs
Adjust the taste with salt and pepper as prefer
Enjoy!
